Babies
All of our babies are parent reared until approximately 14 days. We
will band the babies and leave them with the parents if we can. We believe
that this gives the babies the right start in life. We have our own
handfeeding mix that we have used for many years with great success.
Babies are kept in brooders until they no longer require any extra heat.
They are then moved to infant play pens which gives them the extra room
to flap their wings and to move around freely. Small washable cat toys
are given to the babies, this allows them learn to pick up things with
their feet. |
